Community Information OfficerOur Community Information Officer is Kevin Kitchen and can be contacted at the Darfield Office on 01226 754747 or by email kevin.kitchen@darfield.info The Community Information Officer maintains and provides a community access point for information to local residents and workers within Darfield.A communication strategy will be developed and implemented as good practice for Darfield and look at how this fits into communication across the partnership area.Having an information access point was identified within the family support strategy that was piloted in Darfield. People needed access to information, which would help to improve work and family life.The Communication information Officer is responsible for maintaining databases, the newsletter, publicity and promotional materials both at the premises and within the community.The Communication Information Officer also encourages other agencies or businesses to utilise the premises as a resource.The resources at the premises are also be promoted with local people and groups and providing a service which will benefit them. For example this may be assisting individuals in completing job applications, encouraging job centre plus to do training on interview techniques or local companies to interview potential candidates for job opportunities. |
